ASCP Updates Introductory Modules on Geriatric Pharmacy Review
The Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy has updated the content map for the Certified Geriatric Pharmacist examination as part of the periodic role delineation study conducted in 2012. A revised CGP exam based on the updated content map will be launched in January 2014.
In preparation for this change, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Educational Affairs Department has prepared a number of new introductory courses housed on the ASCP learning management system (the Professional Development CEnter) to assist prospective CGP candidates in preparing for the CGP examination.
The courses are ACPE approved for continuing education credit so they also assist candidates in attaining needed credits for pharmacist license renewal.
