The Board of Commissioners of the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy has appointed Thomas R. Clark, RPh, MHS, CGP as full-time Executive Director of CCGP. Clark has served in this capacity on a half-time basis since January 2010. The appointment to full-time Executive Director becomes effective on April 1, 2012.
CCGP has been growing rapidly over the last two years, as a number of significant changes have been implemented. These changes include:

“With the recent growth of CCGP and the exciting changes under development, the needs of the organization can no longer be met with a half-time Executive Director,” stated Jag Khatter, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of CCGP. “We are looking forward to having Tom Clark devote fulltime to improving and expanding the board certification program in geriatric pharmacy practice.”
The Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy (CCGP) is a nonprofit corporation created in February 1997 by the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP). CCGP was created to oversee the certification program in geriatric pharmacy by establishing eligibility criteria and other program policies. CCGP is autonomous from ASCP, with its own governing Board of Commissioners.
